Exciting news just in about the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin! Magic Kingdom is in a major transformation phase, and Buzz Lightyear's ride is undergoing a significant renovation. The attraction, which closed on August 4th and is set to reopen in 2026, will see some thrilling updates.
Disney has revealed new concept art featuring Buddy the Robot, a fresh character joining the ride. The updated vehicles are inspired by the original ones but now offer real-time score tracking and handheld blasters for easier target shooting. Inside, you'll find more interactive targets that react when hit—sounds like a total blast!
On the other end of the park, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is also getting a makeover, with a smoother track, new lighting, effects, and a themed Piston Peak addition. Plus, it brings back elements from the classic Rainbow Caverns Mine Train.
I'm eager to see how these revamped attractions will turn out. What do you think of these updates? Share your thoughts below!
