September will see the end of summer and the official start of fall at the Magic Kingdom, leading to some big changes to Disney World’s first theme park.

One seasonal event comes to an end while another is officially in full swing — both of which affect Magic Kingdom’s offerings and operating hours.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of Disney World’s most popular seasonal events, as the special-ticketed event’s offerings of candy, treats, and Halloween-themed characters, entertainment, and theming have all become fall traditions for many. The event even allows guests over 13 to wear a costume (as long as they follow the rules) inside the Magic Kingdom, a treat that’s usually reserved for guests 13 and under during Disney’s normal operating rules.
Boo To You Parade
The party dates in September are as follows:
Boo to You Parade
Guests without party tickets on those days must remember that the park will be closing to them at 6 PM, though they’ll still be able to enjoy the many Halloween decorations that will be up in the park during the month.

Extended Evening Hours offer TWO extra hours in select parks on select nights to guests staying at Disney Deluxe Tier or Deluxe Villa resorts. After a summer filled with this offering, Magic Kingdom is only holding one Extended Evening Hours on September 9th from 10 PM to 12AM.

The following attractions are scheduled to be available during Extended Evening Hours at the Magic Kingdom:
TRON Lightcycle / Run at night
September 8th will see the official end of the 2026 Cool Kids Summer promotion, which provided special experiences around Disney World. When it comes to the Magic Kingdom, this means the end of Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue! — the Toy Story-themed show that brought live entertainment back to the Diamond Horseshoe for the first time in over two decades, as well as special character meet & greets during Early Entry.
