When it comes to water parks, we all know Florida has some elite spots, like Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and Volcano Bay, among others. However, California does have an underrated spot called Knott’s Soak City at Knott’s Berry Farm. The water park has a lot of fun to offer, and it’s getting a MASSIVE upgrade!
Knott’s Soak City Waterpark is a 15-acre water adventure park right next to Knott’s Berry Farm. Soak City has 23 speed, tube, and body slides, including Shore Break featuring 6 different waterslide experiences and a thrilling family raft ride. You’ll also find the 750,000-gallon Tidal Wave Bay wave pool and the three‑story Beach House, featuring 200 water guns, nozzles, sprayers, and other interactive surprises.

The water park is about to get a nice upgrade, with TWO brand-new water slide attractions. These aren’t just your average rides. They’re said to bring “never-before-seen thrills to Southern California.” Get ready to catch the next big wave of family fun with Coral Craze and Kelp Kraze.

The Coral Craze is designed to have five riders per raft, and it will launch families into a high-speed adventure. What makes this attraction different than others is the signature Flying SAUCER element, which will feature steeply banked turns that “accelerate riders through sweeping, gravity-defying maneuvers, creating a thrilling sensation unlike any other water slide experience.”

Just on the other side of the raft conveyor, guests will discover Kelp Kraze. This slide is actually North America’s first Family HIVE attraction. It’s an immersive family raft attraction that will send riders twisting through a revolutionary series of tight turns and spiralling helix elements designed to create the feeling that the slide itself is revolving around them.

As rafts race along the outer walls, riders will experience “exhilarating G-forces while enjoying panoramic views through the attraction’s translucent walls, offering a one-of-a-kind perspective of the park below.”

The new water slides will officially make their debut in 2027! So start booking that California vacation right now, so you can be among the first to check it out.
