Is there a time we absolutely refuse to visit Disneyland? NEVER. With that said…some days are better than others.

Sleeping Beauty Castle!
Guests visiting Disneyland in 2026 are in for a real treat with special celebrations, enhanced rides, and an unforgettable experience. With that said, if your main goal is to avoid crowds or catch the resort when it’s offering lower wait times, these are the dates you’ll want to stay away from Disneyland in 2026…
Disneyland is primarily for the kids, and the kids come in DROVES in late March and early April.
Disneyland crowds
Spring Break season is March 28th through April 11th, 2026, and Easter is April 5th. With kids out of school, expect the parks to be surprisingly packed midweek during these spring months.
Memorial Day Weekend isn’t as busy as other major holidays, but don’t be surprised to see families pack the parks for the long weekend!
Crowds
This year, Memorial Day Weekend is May 22nd through May 25th, 2026.

You’ll also want to avoid Disney Grad Nites. While they take over Disney California Adventure at night, teens get to the parks much earlier and cause wait times to skyrocket AT BOTH PARKS. Unfortunately, because they are teenagers, mischief can also be afoot.

If you’re not too keen on sharing the parks with busloads of teenagers, avoid the Disneyland Resort on May 8th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 20th, 21st, 28th, 29th, and 31st — and June 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, and 12th.
Summer is always annoyingly busy at Disneyland with school out, but the busiest days could wind up being around Independence Day.
Together Forever
With this year’s festivities getting a heightened sense of importance thanks to the country’s 250th birthday, expect Disneyland to be packed on July 3rd through July 5th.
August will wind up being one of the busiest months of the year at Disneyland. For starters, Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration ends on August 9th, so it’s fair to assume a bunch of folks will rush to the resort in the final days to get one final experience with all of the celebration’s offerings.
Disneyland Train Station
Shortly after, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is returning to Anaheim, and the Disneyland Resort between August 13th and August 16th, and this WILL bring in fans from all over the world.

When they’re not watching panels at the Honda Center or exploring booths and exhibits at the Anaheim Convention Center, expo attendees of the most popular Disney fan event of the year will be found flocking to the Disneyland Resort.
In October, Halloween Time takes over the Disneyland Resort, and attendance usually stays consistently busy.
Halloween in Disneyland
Halloween, especially, is a very popular date to be in the parks.
The holiday season is so busy at Disneyland that even the highest-paying Magic Key Members are blocked out from entry during this time!
Christmas at Disneyland
Mid-December through New Year’s is an incredibly busy time at Disneyland. Magical, festive, and worth the visit? Yes. Crowded beyond belief? Also yes. You may want to specifically avoid December 24th, 25th, and 31st if you’re trying to avoid the biggest crowds…
