Disneyland Resort has a jam-packed lineup this year, bringing back some beloved shows. As the hype around the events grows, I can’t help but wonder what else might make a comeback. One question that keeps popping up is whether the iconic Main Street Electrical Parade will grace Disneyland again.

Kicking off on May 16th, Disneyland will celebrate its 70th anniversary, stretching festivities into summer 2026. Alongside new shows and ride overlays, some fan-favorite spectacles are returning. Could the Main Street Electrical Parade be among them?

This legendary parade, launched in 1972, dazzled audiences with vibrant floats and performers lit by over 600,000 LED lights to the tune of "Baroque Hoedown." It has made several comebacks over the decades, including recent shows in 2017, 2019, and 2022.

Its successor, the Paint the Night Parade, which uses an impressive 1.5 million LED lights, will be returning to Disneyland starting May 16th for the 70th anniversary. Though thrilled to see Paint the Night back, many fans, including myself, are still nostalgic for the Main Street Electrical Parade.

While there’s no official word yet, it’s likely the parade could return for a future anniversary or special occasion. The Main Street Electrical Parade holds a cherished place in the hearts of many—a Disney summer tradition.

Are you a fan of Paint the Night or do you prefer the classic Main Street Electrical Parade? Share your thoughts in the comments! Would love to hear if anyone else feels the same!
