Summer always draws big crowds to Disney World, and this year is set to be no exception!
Exciting attractions launch this summer, such as the new Spaceship Earth lounge, GEO-82, and some major updates at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Muppets courtyard will close, making way for two brand-new shows. If you're planning a trip, you might want to avoid one particularly busy date.
The closure of “The Voyage of the Little Mermaid” makes way for “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure”, debuting May 27th. This show promises a blend of live action, puppetry, and digital animation, immersing you in Ariel's underwater world. Fans will be excited to hear two songs not featured in the original: “Daughters of Triton” and “Kiss the Girl.”
On the same day, “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” will also premiere. This production gives Disney Villains a chance to share their side of the story, featuring beloved characters like Captain Hook and Maleficent, along with some less recognized villains.
Both shows launching simultaneously will likely draw large crowds on May 27th at Hollywood Studios. If large crowds aren’t your thing, you might want to visit another park on this day or wait until the buzz settles down.
What's your take? Which show are you eager to see? Let us know in the comments!
