Planning a Disney Cruise? Here's what you need to know about choosing the right cabin. Selecting the right room can seriously enhance your cruise experience. While there are many itineraries and ships to pick from, not all rooms are created equal.

Firstly, if you're prone to seasickness, avoid cabins on higher decks as ship movement is more noticeable there. Opt for lower decks instead, like Decks 1 and 2 on the Disney Magic. Inside cabins might be budget-friendly, but rooms with windows or portholes are better if you want to avoid motion sickness, as they offer a view of the horizon. Rooms near the ship's engine might not be ideal due to noise and vibrations, so consider midship cabins on higher decks for a smoother experience.

Avoid aft rooms near the engines and keep in mind that adjoining rooms can be noisier than usual. Lastly, check what's above and below your selected cabin; being near bars or restaurants can lead to unwanted noise.

Booking a cabin isn’t as straightforward as it might seem, and a travel agency like Small World Vacations can help you navigate the options for free.
