Did you know that all Pirates of the Caribbean attractions at Disney Parks differ from each other? Having visited both Disney World and Disneyland countless times, we recently experienced Disneyland Paris's version and noticed some intriguing differences!
As soon as you enter the queue at Disneyland Paris, you'll hear unique music from the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Unlike its US counterparts, this ride is a blend of English and French, adding a charming twist. Unlike starting off in a cave, you'll begin your adventure on "open waters," with intriguing sights like shipwrecks.
One highlight is the Davy Jones mist screen projection at the start, accompanied by chilling organ music, making it a memorable part of the journey. Plus, you'll encounter familiar scenes like the key-holding dog earlier in the ride than at Disney World.
While familiar elements exist, the Disneyland Paris version deliciously surprises, with Pirate Redd appearing as a simple, silent animatronic, and Barbossa transforming from human to skeleton amid a thunderstorm. The ride is also two minutes longer, offering a more intense experience for thrill-seekers.
