If you're going to Disney World in February, be aware of several closures. Six major attractions and a water park will undergo scheduled refurbishments throughout the month.
Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed on January 6th and will remain so until at least 2026, returning with "a little new magic." Astro Orbiter, a rotor ride in Tomorrowland, closed on January 13th and is expected to reopen by summer 2025.
Following past practice, the Hall of Presidents closed on Inauguration Day, January 20th, for refurbishment, as it does whenever a new President is inaugurated. It's set to reopen later in 2025.
At EPCOT, Test Track shut down on June 17th, 2024, for its third iteration and is due to open sometime in 2025. The Mexico Pavilion’s Gran Fiesta Tour closed on January 6th but is slated to reopen on March 15th.
Animal Kingdom's Kali River Rapids is also closed for routine seasonal maintenance, reopening in March. Typhoon Lagoon is closed for similar seasonal upkeep, as Disney usually keeps one water park open at a time.
Guests visiting in February, including during President’s Day break, should anticipate some key ride closures. Stay updated with DFB for more information on Disney World's schedule.
