We're caught in a love-hate relationship with the My Disney Experience app. Being in the parks daily makes the app an essential tool for us—whether it's ordering food, finding water refill stations, or skipping checkout lines. However, it's not without its flaws, and we've got a few grievances to air.
If you're planning a Disney trip, downloading the app is a no-brainer for reservations, hotel check-ins, virtual queues, and PhotoPass viewing. But after extensive use, we can't help but want a few improvements. Let's dive in.
Booking Park Pass Reservations as an Annual Passholder can be a hassle. The app sends us to the Disney World website, requiring us to log in again, disrupting our planning flow. Why can't we just book directly in the app?
When it comes to managing plans, the app separates "Today's Plans" from "Future Plans"—a split that gets confusing. We'd love all our plans consolidated for easier access. Disney, streamlining this would be a dream come true!
And let's talk transportation. If the Skyliner or Monorail are down due to weather, it should be reflected in the app. It would save us and others countless unnecessary journeys. Providing clear operating hours instead of vague closing times would also be hugely beneficial.
