Taking a solo trip to a theme park like Disneyland might feel a bit intimidating, but I find myself doing it frequently and loving it!

While covering huge events at Disneyland Resort often requires a team effort, most of my time reporting there is spent alone. So, what's it actually like to experience Disneyland solo? Let me give you the lowdown on what to expect.
Growing up, Disneyland was a family affair. It wasn’t until I started reporting for Magical Guides that I experienced it solo. Initially, exploring Disney alone seemed unnerving given that it caters to groups and families.

There are some obvious downsides: you’ll be on rides alone, dining solitary, and missing out on shared memories. However, being solo has undeniable perks too. You have total freedom over your schedule, don’t need to accommodate others’ needs, and can take advantage of shorter Single Rider lines.
Exploring Disneyland alone allows for a tailored experience, whether you want to plunge into rides or take a leisurely stroll. You'll notice that many others, including Disney influencers, enjoy solo visits too, offering a sense of connection through mutual solitude.

Being alone can feel peaceful and comes with the luxury of dictating your own pace. It might not suit everyone, and on certain days, you may miss having company. Yet, it’s worth trying to see how you feel about it!
