Disney World is facing more permanent closures, with major changes underway. First in line is DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom, and soon "It's Tough to Be a Bug!" will be transformed into a Zootopia-themed show. A phased closure of Muppets Courtyard will also take place.
In Magic Kingdom, plans for a new Cars-themed expansion will mean saying goodbye to Tom Sawyer Island. Along with this, parts of Frontierland and The Rivers of America will be paved over for the new developments, affecting beloved attractions like the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island rafts. Aunt Polly’s, despite not being operational for years, will also officially close.
With these new developments come mixed feelings, but the excitement for fresh experiences is undeniable. How do you feel about these closures and the upcoming Cars expansion? Let us know in the comments!
