Mardi Gras!
Universal Orlando is gearing up for an epic 2025 with new hotels, Epic Universe on the horizon, and some major ride updates. But as we anticipate these changes, let's enjoy Universal's exciting Mardi Gras festivities and bring you along!
We’re in the park for one of Universal’s top events of the year! From February 1st to March 30th, 2025, it’s the 30th Mardi Gras celebration here. We attended a media event for the latest scoop on this year's happenings. Come see all the excitement with us!
There are endless food and drink options at this festival, with 13 booths offering diverse flavors! They’ve added a new India booth this year. Universal aims for authenticity, and you can't miss the vegan red beans and rice, Cajun baked mac & cheese, and much more. We sampled the Pinchos de Lechon from Puerto Rico…

…Hot Maple Lacquered Salmon from Canada, and more!
The entertainment lineup features two main attractions. First, the parade! It includes floats from Kern Studios in New Orleans, celebrating a 30-year partnership with Universal. With new floats inspired by classic Mardi Gras themes, the parade is a can't-miss experience. Guests can sign up to ride the floats and toss beads to the crowd via a virtual line queue on the Universal app.
From the Cursed Coconut Club, there’s exclusive Mardi Gras entertainment. CityWalk’s Red Coconut Club becomes the Cursed Coconut for the season—super cool, right?

The Mardi Gras Concert series is the second big draw! Performers include Joe Jonas, T-Pain, Foster the People, Kool & The Gang, All Time Low, TLC, and DJ Pauly D.
We’ll keep you posted with updates throughout the weekend, so stay tuned!

Disclosure: We often pay our own way for covering events, but sometimes accept media invites. Our feedback remains 100% honest. Today, Universal invited us to their Mardi Gras preview.
Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks!
