We can't believe 2025 is almost here! What happened to 2024?

A new year is just ahead, and we're eager to see what it brings. We'll keep you updated with Disney World news and plenty of food reviews. Notably, three updates for Disney’s Animal Kingdom have been announced for 2025!
If you're visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2025, there are key updates you should know about! The initial closures for DinoLand U.S.A. start on January 12th, 2025. TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will close on this date. However, there's still time for a last ride on Dinosaur or fun in the Boneyard!

Disney hasn't announced when the remaining DinoLand U.S.A. will close for the new Tropical Americas-themed land, Pueblo Esperanza. They've hinted that ““2025 is your year to visit before it goes extinct!” regarding Dinosaur, though.

With part of DinoLand U.S.A. closing, we'll soon see construction start on Pueblo Esperanza. The first closures and construction shouldn't significantly impact your trip. Since TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s are tucked away, you'll likely only notice construction walls near Dinosaur or other DinoLand areas. We want to keep you informed of these changes, so no kids are disappointed about closed Fossil Fun Games.

Pueblo Esperanza will be a new land with two major attractions and one of the largest quick-service restaurants in Disney World. It will include an Encanto-themed attraction, as well as an Indiana Jones-themed ride. The land may open in 2027.

Lastly, It’s Tough to Be a Bug will close in 2025. No closure date yet, but it's set to be replaced by a new Zootopia show called Zootopia: Better Zoogether! It's expected to debut in winter 2025, so expect It’s Tough to Be a Bug to close sometime in 2025. We'll keep you posted on news about this retheming.
