This major closure is why I'm skipping Disney's Pop Century Resort in 2026.

The Disney Skyliner at Disney World is closing temporarily early next year, impacting hotel choices for many visitors! The Skyliner, launched in 2019, efficiently connects EPCOT and Hollywood Studios with the Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera resorts. Its shutdown affects the perceived value at Pop Century, a resort known for its 20th-century kitsch theme, because of its value-level amenities. Meanwhile, other resorts on the loop offer a mix of deluxe family-oriented suites, moderate-tier options, and luxury stays.

The closure is scheduled from January 25 to 31, 2026, but don't worry, complimentary bus service will be available. As much as we love Pop Century, we're considering other options until the Skyliner is back in action. We'd love to hear your thoughts—is the missing Skyliner a deal-breaker for your Disney bookings? Let us know in the comments!
