Visiting Disney World daily like we do means experiencing a fair share of ride stoppages over time. Disney rides occasionally face technical issues or are disrupted by guest actions, such as hats flying off or arms stretching out of vehicles. Sometimes, when a ride halts, we get a sneak peek behind the magic! Today, we're sharing some of the fascinating ride stoppages we've captured.

**Rise of the Resistance**

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is a Hollywood Studios favorite due to its incredible storytelling and advanced tech. During one visit, we witnessed a broken effect of Kylo Ren chasing our ride vehicle! We saw how a special effect was created using projections on a flat surface with shaded material around the edges. It was a neat insight!

**Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover**

The evacuation process for the PeopleMover is less surprising. If it stops, riders are guided along the track to an exit. You can sometimes see this from Star Traders, a nearby gift shop window that overlooks the ride.

**Test Track**

During its previous version, evacuations involved walking guests through different ride scenes. With an upcoming renovation, I'm curious to see if evacuation procedures change once it reopens in EPCOT.

**Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway**

This attraction uses trackless vehicles. When it shuts down, all vehicles stop, and the lights turn on, revealing hidden effects. Evacuating on a regular floor adds an unusual twist!

These ride stoppages offer a unique glimpse into Disney's magic. It's fascinating, though sometimes inconvenient, to witness the behind-the-scenes mechanics. What do you think of these experiences or ride breakdowns at theme parks? Have you ever been on a ride when it stopped? Share your stories!
