At Magical Guides, we're all about Disney food, and we’ve sampled everything Disney World has to offer—and we’re not slowing down! One of the most exciting aspects of Disney World is the constant change, which means new food keeps popping up!

We eagerly try their newest and craziest food items. Some are hits, and others miss the mark. Yet, there’s one trend we've grown a bit bored of.

During Disney's 50th anniversary, there was a big "blue phase" with numerous snacks featuring the color blue. We’ve also experienced a "croissant era," with croissants filled with everything from cookie dough to espresso.

Now, Disney World seems deep into the freeze-dried Skittles phase, which has appeared in numerous treats. While we don’t have anything against these sugary bites, we're ready for Disney to mix it up. The repetition is growing old.

Freeze-dried Skittles can be found everywhere—from Krispie treats to Bundt cakes. Any treat with a surface for Skittles seems to end up topped with them.

Not every Skittles treat impressed us, like the Skittles Krispie Treat. But some, like the Rainbow Cake at Figment’s Inspiration Station, are among our favorites.

Though freeze-dried candy is a trend right now, we crave more inventive toppings and creative ideas. We want to be blown away, and we believe Disney has the magic to do it.

Even if we're over the Skittles trend, Disney World still offers fantastic food. We're here to share our best tips with you. Be sure to check out our ultimate guide to Disney World’s greatest bites!
