Frogg Toggs Poncho
While no one WANTS to experience a hurricane — or any bad weather — during their trip, there are some essentials that you can have on hand to make any inclement situation a bit more bearable.

FROGG TOGGS Poncho
We have tried A LOT of ponchos at Disney World over the years, and this is BY FAR our favorite, especially for the kind of rainy weather you may encounter during Atlantic Hurricane Season. This poncho — available on Amazon in multiple colors, including this striking hot pink — had several features that we simply adore. The material allowed the rain to slip right off, and between that and the lack of sleeves, we didn’t feel steamed or hot underneath. On top of that, the poncho was large enough that our backpack was able to fit underneath it comfortably, while still keeping the bag and our backs completely covered from the rain. If all that wasn’t enough, the poncho even comes with a waterproof storage bag, meaning we were able to quickly pack it up and throw it in our backpack as soon as the storm ended without worrying about anything in there getting wet. They offer both adult and children’s sizes.
BAODINI Travel Essentials Mini Umbrella
This UV umbrella is made from black glue fabric, which reflects most UV rays, and the black coating on the underside of the canopy absorbs any remaining UV rays, giving an overall UPF rating of 50+, and it can also stand up to wind and rain. With a 40-inch arc and a 35.4-inch diameter, this mini travel umbrella can perfectly fit in your bag while you’re on the go! It folds to a compact size of 6.9 inches and is super lightweight, which makes this umbrella great for travel!
Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers
One of the worst experiences one can have at Disney World is when a rainstorm moves through and soaks your shoes and socks until they’re DRENCHED…unless you have these waterproof shoe covers. When we first saw these years ago, we weren’t convinced of their effectiveness, but we were WRONG! They keep our feet — and our tennis shoes — mostly nice and dry, even in the rain. We’d also advise sizing up to alleviate any discomfort from the zipper top.

There are large mesh flaps on each side that reduce fogging while keeping kids comfortable and protected from rain at the same time.
