Can you believe we're almost through January? It feels like a whole year has passed, but February is just around the corner. We'll soon be chatting about Valentine’s Day treats at Disney World (bring on the red and pink cupcakes!), still missing DinoLand, U.S.A. with its partial closure, and wondering about opening dates for the new Villains and Monsters, Inc. lands. If you're heading to Disney World in February, be mindful of potential mishaps.

### Visiting During Cheer Competition Weekends

February is a busy time for cheerleading competitions. The All Out Grand Nationals will take place at the Orange County Convention Center from January 31st to February 2nd. Participants often snag discounted Disney World tickets, so expect to see many at the parks. Another big event, the UCA National High School Cheerleading Competition, happens at Disney World's ESPN Wide World of Sports from February 7th to 10th. All-Star Resorts could be particularly bustling and noisy.

### Visiting During Valentine’s Day Weekend

A Valentine's weekend visit (February 15th to 17th) might sound lovely, but it coincides with President's Weekend. This means extra crowds as it’s a three-day holiday for many. Families will be out in full force, so be prepared for the hustle and bustle.

### Forgetting About a New Perk

In 2025, Disney World introduces a new perk: a free ticket to one of its water parks for those staying at Disney hotels. Though it’s winter, make sure to pack swimgear for a spontaneous splash at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach if weather permits. You might as well enjoy the freebie!

Regardless of the time, visiting Disney World in February can still be enjoyable. Just be aware of these possible issues and you’ll have a great trip!
