April is right around the corner, and it could be the perfect time for your next Disney World adventure!

Spaceship Earth

While April can be unpredictable at Disney World due to various factors, don't worry about your trip! We’re pros when it comes to planning for Disney, with team members in the parks daily to ensure you stay informed. If you're visiting this April, avoid common pitfalls with our guidance!

Don’t Underestimate Spring Break Crowds

April often coincides with spring breaks across the country, so brace yourself for inevitable crowds. We're not suggesting you skip Disney World during this time—understandably, it's the only chance for many families—but it’s smart to be ready for busier parks. Expect longer wait times and larger crowds; better to be prepared and pleasantly surprised if it’s calmer. Planning to purchase Lightning Lane passes? Book early as they sell out fast!

Believe The Heat!

April brings a mix of warm days on the horizon, so dress for the heat, but keep a jacket handy for chilly indoor attractions. And most importantly, apply sunscreen—even if it’s overcast. A sunburn can really put a damper on your fun. Trust us, it’s a lesson learned the hard way!

Don’t Forget That Certain Rides Are Closed

Some rides will be unavailable in April, so check closures ahead of time to avoid surprises. You won't be able to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Astro Orbiter in Magic Kingdom, and TriceraTop Spin in Animal Kingdom has been demolished for a new theme. Also, It’s Tough to Be A Bug is no longer running.

Keep in mind that Magic Kingdom and EPCOT rope drop strategies might have changed with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind now offering standby queues instead of Virtual Queues. Consider buying a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Cosmic Rewind to expedite your wait.

Planning for Disney World can feel overwhelming but thrilling, and we're here to make sure you're as ready as possible. Share your planning tips with others!
