Many families opt for vacations at Disney World, Disneyland, or Universal Orlando, and it's easy to see why—these theme parks are iconic! However, in a surprising twist, Disney and Universal didn’t make it onto USA Today’s newly released list of the top ten theme parks in the U.S. The list, compiled by experts and voted on by readers, left us raising our eyebrows at some of its choices.

Notably, Kings Island ranked 10th, Holiday World 9th, and Hershey Park 8th. While Busch Gardens Williamsburg secured 7th place, Dollywood landed at 6th. We’re intrigued by Dollywood's popularity enough to consider a visit ourselves. Kennywood took the 5th spot, with Busch Gardens Tampa Bay claiming 4th, surprisingly close to the top.

Perhaps the most unexpected was SeaWorld Orlando at 3rd. Meanwhile, Knoebels in Pennsylvania nabbed 2nd place, and Silver Dollar City was crowned number 1. The absence of Disney and Universal is a shock, but their high costs might explain why voters preferred more affordable options.

As Epic Universe prepares to open next year, it will be interesting to see where it fits in future rankings. Do you agree with these results, or do you think Disney and Universal were unfairly left out? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
