RIP George Wendt, best known as Norm on Cheers

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a true icon…actor George Wendt, best known as Norm on “Cheers”

Wendt died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning. He was 76-years-old.
The actor appeared in every single one of the 275 episodes of “Cheers.” If you ever enjoyed Superstar Television during its time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you may have even had a drink next to him.
Disney fans would also remember him from Cranium Command in Wonders of Life at Epcot and he provided the voice of Grandpa Clancy in “Fancy Nancy.”
Wendt also starred in “The Little Rascals," "Spice World," "Outside Providence," "Alice in Wonderland," "Santa Buddies" and many other TV shows and films.
