Today, we're tasting breakfast at the Oak & Star Tavern in Celestial Park. It's a quick-service barbecue haven set in a cosmic garden atmosphere with a star-filled ancient oak inside.
With seven breakfast options and six tempting sides, there's plenty to choose from. We sampled the Oak and Star Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sandwich priced at $11.99. While massive, the sausage casing was a bit tough, but the perfectly cooked eggs and flavorsome sauces made up for it. A special shoutout to the fries—crispy and coated with impeccable barbecue seasoning.
The Brûlée Hawaiian Mango Bread, also $11.99, delighted us with its moist mango bread and fresh fruit toppings, although we missed the advertised toasted coconut. The accompanying bacon was juicy and perfectly crisp.
We couldn't resist the Chorizo & Eggs offering, a $11.99 dish brimming with spicy flavor, robust tomato stew, and buttery brioche. It's definitely a dish worth raving about!
