Guess what? We're back at Epic Universe again (not that it surprises anyone since we keep returning). This time, we have a mission: to sample all the food Universal Orlando has to offer. We've still got a few bites left to try, so we're revisiting Atlantic in Celestial Park to finally taste this talked-about burger. Come along as we dig in and share our honest thoughts.
Atlantic, a full-service spot known for steak and seafood, has brought us the Atlantic Burger "Au Poivre" for $22. It features a half-pound custom beef blend, Asiago peppercorn cheese, peppercorn sauce, watercress, shaved red onion, and a house-made sesame bun, with thick-cut fries on the side. It sure looks tasty, doesn’t it?
We had our custom beef burger cooked medium for that tender hint of pink in the center. The peppercorn sauce adds a gentle heat, ensuring it's palatable even if you're not into spicy foods.
The peppercorn cheese and onion added excellent flavor and crunch, but the rest of the burger didn't quite wow us. The watercress tasted more like spinach, likely due to its preparation, which wasn't to our liking.
However, the real letdown was the sauce—something about it didn't sit right with us, making it unenjoyable even when we tried dipping our fries. It might be a personal preference, but it was a deal-breaker for us.
Overall, this burger seemed like an average entree with fancy trimmings, not quite worth its $22 price tag. We'd recommend exploring other menu items, especially considering the restaurant's steak and seafood specialties.
