Disney World restaurants are undergoing an array of new [menu changes](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2024/11/22/review-we-are-literally-begging-disney-to-make-this-cheese-croissant-a-permanent-menu-item/) that are shaking up the dining experience!
We've recently enjoyed several new menu updates that have [impressed us with their flavors and variety](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2024/12/06/review-did-we-just-find-the-best-new-breakfast-items-also-served-for-lunch-in-disney-world/), including some festive [holiday items](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2024/11/16/review-this-disney-world-restaurant-served-my-food-on-a-miniature-mine-cart-need-i-say-more/). When we discovered another Disney World restaurant had quietly updated its menu, we felt compelled to check it out. [Could this be the restaurant that disrupts our streak?](#)
Located in The Landing of [Disney Springs](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/downtown-disney-restaurants/), [Terralina Crafted Italian](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/terralina-crafted-italian/) is the rebranded version of the former Portobello Country Italian Trattoria. After a multi-million-dollar refurbishment, Chef Tony Mantuano and Executive Chef Claudio Daggio returned to create a menu and atmosphere that reflects an Italian home.
Inspired by Italy's Lake District, the remodeled restaurant features cozy dining rooms, an open kitchen, and an outdoor bar perfect for warm evenings.
### Atmosphere
The restaurant's ambiance is designed to make you feel like part of an inviting Italian family. As you enter, the host stand by a roaring fireplace welcomes you.
Once seated, you'll pass through various dining areas, including large tables for gatherings, intimate booths with dim lighting, an open bar, and spaces adorned with chandeliers and exposed brick.
You might spot a decorative wine cellar or family portraits, contributing to the homey feel. Outside, the tranquil waters of Disney Springs provide a lively dining backdrop.
### Menu
The menu is heavily Italian, featuring antipasti, pasta, pizzas, sandwiches, sides, and beverages including cocktails, wines, and spritzers. There's also a kid’s menu with dessert options.
The wine list offers an extensive selection of Italian whites and reds, along with sparkling, rosé, and other varieties, creating a diverse dining experience that rivals other Disney Springs options.
### Eats
Knowing we were in for a big meal, we took our time. We started with complimentary water and [Focaccia bread](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/2024-wdw-disney-springs-ds-terralina-crafted-italian-focaccia-bread-service-2-700x525.jpg). The focaccia was soft and fluffy with a crusty exterior — pleasant, but not extraordinary given its Italian origins.
Next, we tried the [Mozzarella-stuffed Rice Balls](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/2024-wdw-disney-springs-ds-terralina-crafted-italian-mozzarella-stuffed-rice-balls-5-700x525.jpg) for $17. While they were gooey and tasty, they were also very delicate and fell apart, making them hard to dip into the bland tomato sauce.
Then, we moved on to the new [Terralina Penne Alfredo](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/2024-wdw-disney-springs-ds-terralina-crafted-italian-terralina-penne-alfredo-3-700x525.jpg) for $29. Although the chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and peas were good, the pasta itself lacked flavor and the sauce was insufficient.
The highlight was undoubtedly the [Crafted Burger](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/2024-wdw-disney-springs-ds-terralina-crafted-italian-crafted-burger-9-700x525.jpg) priced at $23. Made of ground chuck and brisket topped with vegetables and cheddar on a toasted bun, it stood out as the best dish, combining rich flavors effortlessly.
We also sampled the [Espresso Crème Brûlée](https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/2024-wdw-disney-springs-ds-terralina-crafted-italian-espresso-creme-brulee-4-700x525.jpg) for $12. However, the strong espresso taste overwhelmed the dessert, making it a miss for us.
### Overall
Although we intended to savor an exceptional Italian meal, only a few dishes met our expectations. Surprisingly, the Crafted Burger outshined the more traditional Italian fare. If you're seeking standout Italian cuisine at Disney World, Terralina may not quite hit the mark, but it's worth a try if you're nearby.
