Disney World’s resorts are often a favorite among travelers visiting Orlando. The allure of luxurious spots like the Grand Floridian, Contemporary Resort, and Polynesian Village is hard to resist, especially with their outstanding dining options.
However, don't overlook the incredible hotels off property that offer fantastic amenities and dining experiences. Have you heard about the Conrad Orlando? It's very close to Disney World and is a beautiful place to stay. We recently checked out their Apero Bar and can't wait to share our experience!
Conrad Orlando provides both traditional hotel rooms and family suites. Guests can enjoy amenities like the spa's outdoor water garden, private cabanas, and a rooftop dining experience.
Parking at Conrad Orlando is valet only, which adds to its elegant vibe. The magnificent view upon entering the lobby, looking out at the pool, set the tone for our evening.
We visited to try Apero Bar, located in an open lobby space with seating that overlooks a lovely pool area and fountain. Mixologist Marco Dongi crafted four unique drinks from his menu.
The Oh Liang ($25) was rich and earthy, with almond and coffee flavors overshadowing the rum. The drink was beautifully presented with square ice, an almond, and a coffee bean garnish.
The non-alcoholic Bellini ($15), made with white peach puree and Lyre’s prosecco, leaned toward a sour taste, perfect for those who enjoy tart flavors.
For appetizers, we had Burrata ($20), with creamy mozzarella and sweet-tart marinated tomatoes—a refreshing dish overall. The Short Rib Pizza ($26) featured shallot confit, braised short rib, and a strong garlic aroma—ideal for garlic lovers.
We ended with a Rocher dessert ($18), a creamy chocolate delight with fudge and crunchy nuts; we absolutely recommend it!
The evening was enriched by a superb violinist, complementing the elegant atmosphere. The menu, full of Mediterranean flavors, offers something for everyone.
If you're in Orlando, consider visiting Conrad Orlando—it’s a hidden gem! Have you been there before or considering a visit? Share your thoughts!
