Get ready for a culinary adventure with this review!
Mead Hall in the Isle of Berk at Epic Universe is calling us back for another look at their kids menu. We’re diving into the full review to see if this place deserves a spot on your itinerary for this brand-new theme park. Curious?
**Atmosphere**
Step into Mead Hall, the Viking gathering space packed with meats, fish, and hearty sandwiches. If you're ravenous, you’re in the right place! The dining area showcases intricate dragon carvings, wall tapestries of the movie’s characters, and an impressive chandelier resplendent with faux candles.
**Menu**
At Mead Hall, you can feast on turkey wings, sausages, and meatballs. Prefer a lighter option? There’s a harvest salad and a vegan burger. Plus, the kids get a special menu featuring mac and cheese, burgers, and chicken pops. Of course, you can’t miss out on desserts, beer, wine, and mead.
**Eats**
Kid meals like the Nightlight Burger or Barf and Belch’s Duo Plate (just $9.49) offer a generous serving of mac & cheese bites, grilled sausage, roasted carrots, Nordic fries, and grapes. Served on a delightful mini Viking ship, it’s a feast for little warriors! While the mac and cheese bites missed the mark, the rest of the meal shined.
**Nosh or Not**
Mead Hall is for you if:
- You're smitten by How to Train Your Dragon.
- You have a big appetite after park adventures.
- You want quick yet delicious bites.
Skip if:
- You seek a fancier dining experience.
- Are not planning to visit the Isle of Berk.
- Your kids prefer staple chicken tenders and fries.
**Overall**
We were mostly impressed by Mead Hall—though the mac and cheese bites didn’t quite deliver, the rest was satisfying and could easily be split between two kids.
Have you dined here before? We'd love your insights and experiences—drop them in the comments!
