Exciting news from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe at Magic Kingdom—they've introduced some fresh menu items! We dropped by to give them a taste. While Cosmic Ray’s usually isn't our top pick at Magic Kingdom, we're always up for new Disney culinary adventures.
First off, we tried the Hand-dipped Fried Chicken Sandwich for $13.19. Featuring a chicken breast with honey mustard sauce and pickles on a brioche bun, plus fries on the side, it was decent but nothing extraordinary. The chicken was juicy and well-cooked, but the flavors were a bit muted, with the pickles being the standout taste.
Next, the Classic Ranch Salad with Grilled Chicken for $11.99 was fresh and crisp, perfect for a lighter option. The grilled chicken was juicy, and the salad ingredients were vibrant and crunchy, though nothing particularly stood out flavor-wise.
Lastly, the Truffle-French Onion Burger stole the show at $14.99, featuring an Angus beef patty with braised beef-caramelized onion confit, Swiss cheese, parmesan, crispy onions, and a black garlic-truffle aїoli. It was delicious and packed with satisfying flavors. This burger was definitely the winner for us!
Overall, the Truffle-French Onion Burger is a strong contender for repeating dining visits, while the chicken sandwich and salad were just okay. What are your thoughts on Cosmic Ray’s new additions? Share your opinion in the comments!
