While we usually shy away from classic "theme park food" at Disney World, there are times we fully embrace it. We could happily gobble up mini corn dogs and indulge in that infamous plastic cheese sauce all day long!
New hot dog alert!
We also love munching a Mickey pretzel or picking up ice cream sandwiches now and then. Speaking of hot dogs, B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. at Disney Springs really intrigued us with their unique spin on this classic snack. We simply had to try their Chorizo Dog!
The Chorizo Dog is adorned with Chorizo Sausage, Chimichurri Aioli, Chili-Lime Chicharrones, and Cilantro, priced at just $13.29. A note for cilantro haters: we didn’t notice it much, so no worries! This hot dog is a fantastic twist on traditional Hispanic flavors, with the quality chorizo really shining through—even down to the grilled split with skin on. The chili lime chicharrones add a perfect crunch that lasts. And the buttered, grilled bun? Perfection.
However, the crumbly cheese (said to be cotija but tasted otherwise to us) was probably the weakest link, and we thought an avocado salsa might have complemented the chimichurri aioli better. Bear in mind there's a mild heat to the chorizo—for any spice-averse folks out there.
For those seeking a distinctive hot dog experience at Disney World, head to Disney Springs! This one’s definitely worth it.
What do you think makes a hot dog top-notch? Is the chorizo flavor calling your name, or do you prefer something else at Disney? Let's chat in the comments!
