When you're at Disney World, the dining choices are endless—whether you're after something quick, comforting, or luxurious. We recently sampled the offerings at T-Rex Cafe in Disney Springs, and we're here to share our thoughts. Is it a place worth hitting up on your next visit? Read on to find out!
### Atmosphere
If you've been to a Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex will feel somewhat familiar. Set in the Marketplace section, it immerses you in a prehistoric dining experience.
Inside, there's a bustling merchandise section plus a cute dinosaur-building activity—a big hit with many!
Different themed seating areas and meteor shower effects every 20 minutes create a dynamic atmosphere, perfect for families seeking dining with a fun, noisy backdrop.
### Menu
The menu offers American favorites, spanning from appetizers to desserts. You can enjoy burgers, sandwiches, seafood, salads, and more, accompanied by cocktails, wines, and even unique non-alcoholic beverages.
### Eats
We opted for the Buffalo Chicken Dip ($16.99), a warm, creamy blend with a zesty buffalo kick. Just be cautious if you're not fond of spice!
Next, the Boneyard Buffet ($35.99) delivered flavorful ribs but slightly dry chicken. The sides like coleslaw and fries were decent but not remarkable.
Dessert was the Abrictosaurus Apple Crisp ($13.99)—like a delicious, crumbly apple pie, though a bit more topping and ice cream wouldn't have hurt.
### Drinks
The Journey to the Center ($13) is a fruity, punch-like mix of rums and juices—sweet and potent, so tread carefully!
### Overall
T-Rex is perfect for families looking for a lively, dinosaur-themed meal with familiar favorites. If you prefer quiet, sophisticated dining or more adventurous menus, you might want to skip it.
