We're diving into the delicious delights at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, starting with a taste tour at Paradise Garden Grill!
Paradise Garden Grill serves up an exclusive festival menu annually, and this year offers enticing new items. Check out their spread with us!
### Menu Highlights
The menu this year includes intriguing options like Chicken Taquito Ahogado, Al Pastor Tacos, and Esquites Loaded Chips, not to mention the Lime Parfait for dessert.
### Tasting Experience
We kicked off with the Chicken Taquito Ahogado: a satisfying dish with a satisfying mix of textures and flavors. Not overly spicy, it’s great for sharing at $14.99. While everything else shone, the chicken wasn’t the standout.
Next up was the Pescado Zarandeado, a dish with potential but fell short for us. Over-salted and fishy, it didn’t match its display. The sides were average, but the fresh tortillas and salty chips redeemed it slightly.
Our favorite was the Esquites Loaded Chips. Packed with flavors from the cotija cheese, chile-lime seasoning, and refreshing lime, these chips impressed us with their spice balance, all for $9.99.
For dessert, the Lime Parfait was a tart and sweet treat reminiscent of a key lime pie. Its flavor was a bit artificial, but enjoyable, offering a solid dessert experience at $7.29.
### Drinks
The Hard Peach Tea Seltzer was a miss for us—lacking the fizz and vibrant flavors we anticipated. At $14.50, it’s probably best to opt for something else.
### Overall Thoughts
While Paradise Garden Grill didn’t fully deliver for us, the Esquites Loaded Chips were a real highlight. Would you agree with our take, or do you have different favorites from the festival's offerings? Share your thoughts!
