Disney often surprises us with creative snacks. For example, we've tried every DOLE Whip variation and loved them all. At Disneyland, unique churro flavors often appear, like the Fluffernutter Churro which is a favorite. Another delight is the Churro Toffee, and we adore when Disney gives classic Mickey beignets new twists. However, their latest snack creation fell short on creativity.
In Frontierland’s Golden Horseshoe at Disneyland, you’ll find the "So M&M’S® and TWIX® walk into a Candy Bar" Sundae, priced at $9.79. This treat consists of Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, Hot Fudge, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Bar Pieces, M&M’S, TWIX pieces, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry. It's loaded with candy, but if you love chocolate, you'll find plenty in this dessert. We did notice a lack of M&M’s and that our sundae was missing the promised cherry.
Despite being tasty due to all the chocolate, it felt uninspired, as if Disney just used leftover candy from another event. We might’ve preferred it if the candy bits were mixed into the ice cream, like a Dairy Queen Blizzard.
Overall, we wouldn’t seek this out again. For a better option, try the cookies at Harbour Galley. Keep following DFB for more updates.
