Spring has arrived at Disney World, bringing fresh menu items to our favorite restaurants. Naturally, we hurried over to the Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to explore the new dishes. Are these culinary creations worth a try, or should you pass? Let's dive in!

Stepping into Hollywood Brown Derby is like taking a delicious trip back in time. While it's a replica of the iconic Hollywood eatery, the food and service promise a top-tier experience. It's a must-visit, whether it’s your first Disney trip or your fiftieth. With its impressive dining room and nostalgic atmosphere, it’s no surprise reservations are hard to snag!

The menu leans upscale. Classic offerings like filet mignon, shepherd’s pie, and the famous Cobb Salad set the scene, complemented by a robust selection of drinks. We started with delightful warm rolls served with buttery, sea-salted goodness – not world-changing, but a comforting start to the meal.

Then came the Grand Marnier Liqueur-macerated Seasonal Fruit Burrata, a light and flavorful creation. Though refreshing, the signature Cobb Salad still reigns supreme for us. Next, the Au Gratin Potatoes, rich with black diamond cheddar, were a standout – cheesy, crunchy, and utterly satisfying.

The Sake-braised Pork Belly impressed us with its tender texture but was slightly overshadowed by an overpowering ginger flavor. Lastly, the new Lamb Shank, tender and bursting with flavor, particularly when paired with the mint yogurt, was an absolute winner!

Should you visit the Hollywood Brown Derby? Yes, if you're marking a special occasion or seeking a more refined park dining experience. Pass if you're on a budget or crunched for time.

Overall, the new menu items were a fantastic addition. The lamb shank and Au Gratin Potatoes won us over, and the pork belly was a solid choice. Ready to see for yourself? Share your thoughts if you’ve dined there or are planning a visit soon!

All that said, one time we were able to snag a last minute reservation right before it downpoured, saving us a lot of wet shoes walking back to the Swan and Dolphin (the boats were down due to the lightning)
