Hollywood Studios is buzzing with new attractions like the upcoming Monsters Inc. Land and the fresh Muppets-themed Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! Amid all this excitement, we took a break to try the latest drink at Backlot Express, a quick-service spot near Echo Lake. During our visit, we indulged in their newest creation: the Frozen Watermelon Vodka Lemonade, priced at $16.50.
This delightful concoction features Tito’s Handmade Vodka, watermelon, and Minute Maid lemonade. Its vibrant pink color and green sugar rim make it an Instagram-worthy treat. How did it taste? Our verdict: “Y’all, it’s just so good!” The drink is both refreshing and reminiscent of a watermelon sour gummy, although it melted quickly in the heat.
The green sugar creating a watermelon-like effect as it melts is a fun, albeit probably unintentional, surprise. With a subtle vodka taste emerging towards the end, this sweet and sour delight earns a 10 out of 10 from us! It’s perfect for a summer stroll or as a refreshing break between park attractions.
