Grabbing breakfast at Disney World can be tricky when you're racing to hit that first ride or snap a pic with your favorite characters. But starting your day right with a hearty meal can definitely smooth out the rest of your park visit.

We checked out Tusker House Restaurant in Animal Kingdom's Africa area to see if it’s worth your time and money. Join us for a detailed review as we enjoy breakfast with beloved Disney characters like Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse.

### Atmosphere

Tusker House offers a character dining buffet where beloved Disney characters, decked out in safari gear, greet you during your meal. With five spacious rooms, it's perfect for families. While the theme park rush can be exciting, taking a leisurely morning at Tusker House allows you to savor multiple character encounters before diving into the park's hustle and bustle.

### Menu

At Tusker House, you'll find a diverse array of African and familiar dishes. Breakfast is available from 7:30 to 10:30 AM. The buffet features made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, and delightful Mickey and Simba waffles. African-inspired options like shakshuka and bobotie add unique flavors, while pastries such as mango-apricot jam cake offer something sweet.

Specialty juices and cocktails are on offer, enhancing your morning meal. Advanced dining reservations are advisable, with breakfast priced at $49 per adult and $35 per child.

### Eats

In true buffet style, there's something for everyone. We were smitten with the Caramel Banana Sauce on waffles, with a strong banana essence that complemented the dish perfectly. The omelet station was bustling, and they occasionally offer specials, like biscuits and gravy.

### Drinks

Don't miss out on the fantastic Disney beverages, such as the POG juice, made from pomegranate, orange, and guava.

### Nosh or Not

**Consider Tusker House if:**

- You're a fan of character dining with Mickey and friends.
- You want to try varied breakfast offerings but still have classics available.
- You favor a longer, relaxed breakfast within Animal Kingdom.

**Skip it if:**

- You don't enjoy character visits during meals.
- You're looking for a quick meal to kickstart your Animal Kingdom adventure.
- You prefer exclusive breakfast dishes over traditional buffet options.

### Overall

Tusker House is a favorite of ours for its blend of enjoyable character interactions and breakfast variety. With American classics and adventurous dishes, it's an ideal start to a day in the park. What are your thoughts on dining at Disney? Share your experiences or opinions in the comments!
