Can you believe spooky season is creeping up fast in Disney World?
Get ready with that pumpkin spice!
Even though summer hasn't officially begun, we're already buzzing about Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! This after-hours event in Magic Kingdom is returning in 2025, and while we’re digging out costumes and wigs, there's one night you might want to skip.
The dates for this event are finally out, letting us dive into party planning! The festivities start on August 15th, 2025, and run through October 31st.
Keep in mind, the party isn’t held every night during Disney’s fall celebrations, so don't plan on a random Monday night visit. While we’re excited to join in, one evening might be best avoided.
We suggest steering clear of August 15th, the debut night of the party. While opening night has its charm, it's also prone to a few hiccups.
Kicking off on the first night may not be perfect yet! Although Disney is magical, it's operated by humans, so initial glitches can happen. If you prefer a smoother experience, allowing Disney a few nights to fine-tune might be wise.
Besides, August nights tend to be hot! Previous years taught us that the heat can be unforgiving, with visitors overheating in costumes and wigs. (Been there, done that!)
Even after sunset, it remains warm, so you might want to wait a few weeks before wearing that cute costume.
Opening night means big crowds. Despite capped attendance, parade times and meet-and-greet lines can get pretty intense, especially for Jack and Sally.
Certain nights will likely sell out, with opening night and Halloween being the busiest. Specific sold-out nights are still unknown since tickets go on sale on May 22nd, 2025, but those staying on Disney World property can buy now!
