Let's be honest, Disney’s Animal Kingdom does feel a bit cozier lately, but that’s just because some exciting transformations are underway! A whole new era is beginning with the future debut of Pueblo Esperanza, which will replace DinoLand U.S.A., plus there's an upcoming show named Zootopia: Better Zoogether set to light up the Tree of Life. During these upgrades, anticipate some construction walls and limited access in certain areas.
In addition to the phased closure of DinoLand U.S.A. and the seasonal refurbishment of Kali River Rapids, Disney has just announced that the popular Mickey and Minnie meet-and-greet at Adventurer’s Outpost will close temporarily this February. Planning to meet Mickey and Minnie next February? Note that Adventurer’s Outpost on Discovery Island will be closed from February 25th to 27th, 2025.
The closure seems to be for a brief refurbishment, but Disney hasn’t confirmed if Mickey and Minnie will pop up elsewhere during this time. Keep an eye out for Cast Members in blue polo shirts for any updates!
Thankfully, there are plenty of other spots to snap a picture with the duo throughout Disney World! From character meals at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom to meet-and-greets at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT, you have plenty of options to catch a glimpse of Mickey. Just be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for the best times!
