NEWS: Disney's Wilderness Lodge to Pause Boat Service Soon

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is undoubtedly one of the crown jewels of Disney World with its stunning design, emulating the grandeur of a national park lodge. Staying here means splurging for a deluxe experience, but it's truly breathtaking. The resort typically offers various modes of transportation to Disney World, notably boat rides. However, starting January 12th, that will change temporarily.

If you're planning a stay on or after this date, you might have to rely solely on buses to visit the parks, including Magic Kingdom, due to the dock's closure for refurbishment from January through April 2026. The boat service to Magic Kingdom will be unavailable for a short period from January 12th to January 30th, so guests will need to use bus transportation during this time.

Besides this, Wilderness Lodge and the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins are undergoing construction until late 2026, which could affect views and cause some daytime disturbances. Yet, most of the resort's amenities remain accessible, minimizing inconvenience.
