When you stroll through Frontierland in Magic Kingdom, shopping probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind. We get it—there's usually not much to buy there. You might be more inclined to check out the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, or imagine what the new Cars-themed Piston Peak might look like. But that could soon change—a new shop is set to open in Frontierland!
Disney has quietly announced that the Prairie Outpost is reopening, offering a selection of wide-brimmed hats, classic fedoras, and more. This "new" shop is taking over the long-abandoned Prairie Outpost & Supply, which used to sell iconic Disney treats. From cookies to chapeaus, it seems.
We checked out the spot, next to the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, for a "before" look while we wait for the shop's opening—though there's no date yet.
This addition is particularly timely as Frontierland will lose Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Belle Riverboat in July to make room for Piston Peak. A new shopping spot might just add a fresh vibe to the area!
