Heads up! In a few weeks, crowds will flood the Magic Kingdom as two major events kick off in Orlando, marking the start of cheer season at Disney World.
Orlando hosts seasonal cheer events annually, drawing many young athletes, their families, and friends to the Disney World area. Here's what to expect if you're planning a Disney World trip this February.
The All Out Grand Nationals 2025 cheerleading competition will happen in Orlando from January 31st to February 2nd. Expect big tour groups in Disney World and packed hotels. Cheer teams and other junior athletes frequently stay at Disney’s All-Star Resorts like Movies, Music, and Sports.
Shortly after, the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship takes place at Walt Disney World Resort from February 7th to February 10th, featuring talented cheerleading teams.
Expect longer lines at Disney attractions such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Slinky Dog Dash, Avatar Flight of Passage, and Star Wars Rise of the Resistance. Staying at a hotel with a cheer team might mean longer lines at bus stops or food courts, especially at breakfast and dinner.
Overall, the first weeks of February might be busier than usual. Even though it won't be as crowded as the holiday season, Disney World may still see more visitors than usual for this time of year.
