We've been anticipating this news for a while, knowing it was inevitable but still feeling a hint of dread about it.
Dinoland
From earlier this year, DinoLand U.S.A. entered its closure phase to become Pueblo Esperanza, kickstarted with the shuttering of Chester & Hester’s DinoRama and the TriceraTop Spin. Now, Disney has made it official—the closing date for The Boneyard is closer than expected.
The Boneyard, a play space for kids in DinoLand, will operate for the last time on September 1st, 2025. It will then close the next day as construction begins for Pueblo Esperanza.
Disney reassures that a new play area for children will be included in the upcoming Pueblo Esperanza, ensuring kids have a fun and safe space when the new area opens.
Accompanying these changes, a new Hacienda will appear, replacing Restaurantosaurus. Disney highlights it will be "one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Disney World Resort."
The reimagining continues behind the scenes, with an upcoming Encanto attraction and carousel. Once Dinosaur closes in 2026, the location will host a new Indiana Jones ride.
