The fire began in the tailpipe of one of the plane's engines as it prepared for its journey to Atlanta, Georgia. All passengers, along with 10 flight attendants and two pilots, were evacuated safely. Footage is available capturing both the fire and the evacuation process.
Post-evacuation, passengers were taken inside the terminal and provided with food and drinks. A replacement aircraft was promised to continue their travel. The airport confirmed the fire was contained, noting some passengers used emergency slides during evacuation.
