Renée Victor, renowned for voicing Abuelita in Disney's Coco, has sadly passed away.
On June 1st, Renée’s passing was confirmed by her representative, as reported by Variety.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Renée Victor moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s to pursue a career in entertainment. She started as a singer, touring alongside her husband from 1963 to 1973 as the duo "Ray & Renée."
Apart from her memorable role in Coco, Victor also played Lupita in Showtime’s Weeds, voiced characters in video games like “Elder Scrolls” and “Skyrim”, and appeared in the 2014 film Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones.
