It's almost here—are you prepared? The EPCOT Festival of the Arts kicks off soon! Running from January 17th through February 24th, it'll transform EPCOT with a vibrant artsy atmosphere. Expect unique food offerings, a Disney on Broadway concert series, chalk art, and much more. Let's dive into the festival's highlight: the art!

We spoke with Aaron Babcock, Merchandise Manager at The Walt Disney Company, who shared insights about this year's artwork. Over 36 artists, including two new faces, will contribute pieces focusing on park elements, offering guests unique experiences tied to their Disney visit.

This year features 114 new pieces highlighting 43 Disney movies and TV shows, including characters from Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Pixar, as well as 36 park rides. Among the exciting pieces is a fresh "The Nightmare Before Christmas" artwork by Darren Wilson, making its return after 15 years due to popular demand.

For Moana fans, look out for Josey Tsao's piece, which aligns perfectly with the sequel, featuring Moana and her ancestors. If you're nostalgic for EPCOT, don't miss Rob Kaz’s piece featuring Figment.

Disney invites each artist to submit eight concept ideas, ensuring varied character, film, and attraction representation. While they review for brand alignment, the bulk of creativity comes from the artists.

Can't make it to this year’s festival? Some artworks will be available at Disney Parks later. Be sure to catch this year's incredible art at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. We’ll cover everything on day one, so stay tuned to DFB for updates.
