Exciting news for Disney fans! The much-anticipated Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar, The Beak and Barrel, is expected to open in late 2025 at the Magic Kingdom. This new venue promises to be a hit, given its connection to the famous attraction and movie franchise. However, there are a couple of rules likely to accompany its opening.
Just like Oga’s Cantina at Hollywood Studios, The Beak and Barrel may impose a 45-minute time limit per party to accommodate all guests. The lounge is set to feature two distinct dining areas: The Mess, harkening back to a Spanish soldiers' mess hall, and The Captain’s Quarters, a lavish setting once belonging to a Spanish Comandante.
Additionally, it’s expected that, due to its location at the Magic Kingdom, the bar will not offer to-go drinks, in keeping with Disney's alcohol policy for table service venues. Disney has hinted at some enticing offerings for guests over 21, but these drinks will likely remain within the lounge. I’m curious to see how they bring the Pirates of the Caribbean magic to life in this setting, and I would love to hear your thoughts. How do you feel about these expectations and the theme of the lounge? Share your opinions below!
