We're constantly on the hunt for hints about what Disney has in the works. From overhead shots to financial reports, if Disney's behind it, we've got our eyes on it. Recent permit filings indicate a new project is underway at the Galactic Starcruiser for "general construction."
This immersive hotel, which was operational from 2022 to 2023, will soon be transformed into office space for Disney Imagineering, located near Hollywood Studios to support various upcoming projects.
Disney World has several major projects, including a Cars expansion, Piston Peak, at the Magic Kingdom, Villains Land, and a Monsters, Inc. themed area in Hollywood Studios, displacing the Muppets Courtyard. A hanging door roller coaster inspired by Monsters, Inc. seems intriguing, and the Animation Courtyard's transformation will include drawing classes and character meet-and-greets.
There's even a new version of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, now featuring The Muppets. Meanwhile, Animal Kingdom is set to welcome a Tropical Americas theme area featuring Encanto and Indiana Jones.
