There's been a buzz online about the "Airport Theory," which claims you can show up at the airport just 20-30 minutes before your flight without any issues—quite different from standard airline recommendations. But Delta Air Lines has recently set a new rule requiring passengers to check their bags at least 45 minutes before departure on domestic flights. Most airlines generally have a similar policy, somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour before takeoff. However, it’s wise to check the requirements of your specific airport, as places like JFK need you to check in an hour early.

Given this, it might be smart to rethink your airport arrival time. Lines at Orlando's airport security can stretch over 40 minutes, so catching your flight might mean arriving a bit earlier. Many airports also offer TSA wait times online, providing an easier way to plan your timing.

What's your take on the "Airport Theory"? Would you risk a late arrival or do you prefer playing it safe and being early? Share your thoughts in the comments!
