Buying your first Loungefly sounds like it would be easy, but it actually takes more thought than you may think.

You’ve gotta think about what design you like, as well as other questions like, do you want side pockets? Do you want a flat front pocket or a front pocket that sticks out? There are SO many designs out there, it’s hard to find one that is perfect and really feels like you. For me, I’ve got ONE Loungefly bag that I love deeply since it really feels like it combines my love of Disney and books, so when my friend asked me for recommendations for her first Loungefly, I knew this was a big deal and that I could only send her the BEST suggestions!

My friend really loves Pixar, and if that’s you as well, or you know someone who does, the Pixar Shorts Loungefly Mini Backpack is a fantastic choice. The front pocket AND zipper charm is the iconic Pixar ball; it has two side pockets, and the top of the bag features characters from some of our favorite Pixar shorts. My friend and I also went to see a professional theatre production of Peter Pan, so I knew recommending the Peter Pan Second Star Loungefly Mini Backpack would bring up great memories! This one has the London skyline with “Second star to the right and straight on till morning” on the front pocket, and Peter, Wendy, Michael, John, and Tinker Bell flying over the city on top.

If you’ve got someone in your life who loves Cinderella Castle as much as my friend and I do, then the Cinderella Castle Loungefly Mini Backpack is perfect for them. The front pocket here is “hidden” in a way by Cinderella’s carriage, while the top of the bag is taken up by the castle itself. I love that Mickey himself takes up the whole front pocket, that there are two side pockets for more storage, and that the bag itself is black, so it goes with more outfits.

This will still fit all you need, like a backpack, but it’s a different style than normal. There’s only one main pocket, but the zippers on the side can help expand it, if needed.
