The countdown is officially on! Disney made waves in 2024 by announcing a Cars-themed expansion in the Magic Kingdom's Frontierland, set to replace Rivers of America, including Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Belle. The transformation begins in 2025, with closures starting July 7, which means July 6 is your last chance to experience these classics.
To accommodate the new Cars area, named Piston Peak National Park, and the upcoming Villains Land, changes are also forthcoming for the Disneyland Railroad. It will run between Main Street U.S.A. and Fantasyland rather than its full route, with seating adjustments for guest comfort.
