Magic Kingdom
This year has been overshadowed by ride closures as Disney gears up for major changes. Yet, amidst all this, the reopening of this popular Magic Kingdom attraction seems to have slipped under the radar. We're optimistic about its near return!
You might have noticed our ongoing updates on Astro Orbiter since its closure in January 2025. From disappearing acts to slow progress, we're more than ready for its comeback. Finally, it looks like the reopening is near!
Tomorrowland
While there's no official opening date yet, we spotted something promising at Magic Kingdom. Cast Members were seen testing the ride. It’s happening—the ride is active and moving!
Astro Orbiter
The attraction appears back to its former glory. After months of waiting, it's thrilling to see! From the ground, the ride looked great, but a ride on the PeopleMover gave an even better view. Quieter than before, yet rockets remained static.
The rockets!
With ongoing testing, it feels like the reopening is just around the corner. We're not alone in our anticipation—park guests have been inquiring about it too. A Cast Member even stationed at the ride entry to keep excited guests in check.
We’re READY
While one door opens, another closes. The upcoming launch of Astro Orbiter means farewells for Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat as they close for a new Cars-themed land in Magic Kingdom. Their operations end on July 6th.
